Britain slammed for treatment of asylum seekers
Bahrain News.Net Thursday 27th March, 2008
An independent commission has branded Britain's treatment of asylum seekers as marred by inhumanity.
The Independent Asylum Commission was set up one year ago by request of communities and charity organizations and was tasked to investigate the British authorities handling of removals as well as the decision process leading up to granting asylum.
The commissions' report said the way the UK had treated persons seeking asylum was not fit for a civilised society.
The report claimed there had been a clear violation of regulations where even torture or rape victims had been removed from the country.
Commission co-chair, Sir John Waite, said the reason for these failures to provide asylum seekers with a fair treatment was not malice, but a deeply entrenched lack of resources.
Sir John, a former judge at London's Appeals Court, said the commission would present recommendations to rectify problems in upcoming publications.
The British Border and Immigration Agency, has already rejected the report's findings.

Britain slammed for treatment of asylum seekers
Respect is something that you must earn.. Asylum seekers should not get automatic entry just because they ask! The must be respected, but there needs to be a sense of mutual values otherwise there WILL BE CONFLICT.. So only when there is a values alignment should entry be permitted. Otherwise, a country that has similar values to the person should be found.

Feed them
But make sure your hand will not be bitten. Gratitude, gratitude, gratitude. Immigrants who do not show gratitude are the ones to be held accountable.
Independable commission should look into gratitude first before mouthing off their stale opinions.
