CagVal's COVID-19 positive cases now at 93

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, July 1 (PIA) - - Confirmed cases of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Cagayan Valley is now at 93 after the Department of Health registered another six positive cases today.

According to Dr. Leticia Cabrera, chief Local Health Support Division of DOH, four of the new cases are from Isabela province while the two are from Cagayan.

Patient 88 is a 24 year-old male from San Manuel, Isabela, an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He arrived in the country last June 11 and in his hometown last June 15. He is asymptomatic.

Patient 89 is a 26 year-old female from Enrile, Cagayan. She has a travel history in Pasay City. She is asymptomatic.

Patient 90 is a 33 year-old female from the City of Ilagan, Isabela. She is an OFW from UAE who arrived in the country last June 24 and in her home province last June 26. She stayed in a government-quarantine facility located in Echague, Isabela. She is also asymptomatic.

Patient 91 is a 22 year-old male from Cabagan, Isabela who has a travel history in Makati City. He is also asymptomatic.

Patient 92 is a 22 year-old female from Cabagan, Isabela who has a travel history in Cebu. She experienced fever but now in good condition.

Patient 93 is a 41 year-old female from Sto. Nino, Cagayan. She is an OFW from Dubai and arrived in the country last June 8 and in her hometown last June 29. She is asymptomatic.

Cabrera said contact tracing is now being conducted to locate the possible close contacts of the newly confirmed COVID-19 patients in the region.

Cabrera further said that all of them will be referred to various referral hospital in the region for appropriate medical care and treatment. (ALM/OTB/PIA-Cagayan)
