BEIJING, March 2 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

TBILISI -- Georgia on Tuesday reported 461 new COVID-19 cases, taking its total to 271,379, according to the country's National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC).

The NCDC data showed that 163 more patients recovered in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 265,686.

Meanwhile, 12 people died in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 3,532.

HONG KONG -- China's Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection (CHP) reported 13 additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, taking its total tally to 11,032.

The new cases included seven local infections, of which four had unknown origins, and there were also more than 10 preliminary cases, according to the CHP. It was the third straight day for Hong Kong's untraceable local infections to remain at a single digit.

JAKARTA -- A total of 73 more overseas Indonesians have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total cases in this group to 3,677, according to the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday.

Of the 73 new cases, 68 were reported in China's Hong Kong, three in Panama, while one each in Bahrain and Kuwait.

Furthermore, 79 Indonesians abroad have recovered from COVID-19, and they were reported in China's Hong Kong, Panama and Jordan, bringing the total recoveries in this group to 2,792.

MOSCOW -- Russia registered 10,565 COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, the lowest daily increase since Oct. 4, the country's COVID-19 response center said Tuesday.

The national tally has thus increased to 4,268,215, with 86,896 deaths and 3,838,040 recoveries, the center said.
