CAIRO, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- In Egypt, the date harvest begins in late summer and extends into early autumn. Rich in nutrients, dates are a staple in Egyptian cuisine, particularly in desserts. They are often enjoyed plain, stuffed with nuts, or coated in chocolate.
