CAIRO, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- With its mild winter climate, the southern Egyptian governorate of Aswan is experiencing a surge in tourist activity this month, as visitors flock to its famed Nile scenery and ancient landmarks.
Nile marinas have seen increased traffic, with tourists embarking on river trips between the waterway's lush islands. The Philae Temple, the Great Temple of Abu Simbel, and the Nubian Museum remain popular stops, drawing larger crowds thanks to pleasant daytime temperatures that allow for extended visits.
